Analog/Digital Associates, better known as A/DA (and ADA), were a huge phenomenon in the 80's whose products, most notably the MP-1 MIDI controllable tube preamp, appeared in the racks of many of the era's shred idols such as Paul Gilbert of Racer X/Mr Big, Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, and Vito Bratta of White Lion. Rumors have been surfacing around the internet that the company is restructuring and will resume production.
It appears the rumors are true. ADA has launched a teaser website at http://www.adaamps.com/ containing some historic photos of their gear. Additionally, an initial blog dated Oct 8, 2008 hints at the true bypass functionality of a forthcoming pedal line.
There have been several posts on various boards also indicating the company is planning a new addition to their MP preamp line.
