Peavey and Ziviz Partner for "Jam Party: Be the Music" Game

Thursday, June 3, 2010| by Will Chen

Looks like Peavey is getting into the world of guitar emulated video games. However, their effort will use a an actual 6 string fully functional guitar as a controller which is fitted with a patented system created by Zivix which can sense finger placement on the neck. The controller dubbed the HeroMaker will be the centerpiece of the Jam Party: Be the Music game. Rather than existing titles which focus on hand eye coordination to mimic a previously recorded song, Jam Party looks to blur the lines between game play and music creation by using the HeroMaker (or any other controller) to control the layered play back of banks of loops. Peavey will be demoing both products at E3, June 15th to 17 2010. For more information, check out the Jam Party and Zivix pages.
