Blues guitar legend Hubert Sumlin passed away Sunday December 4th, 2011 at the age of 80. Sumlin received his first guitar when he was only six. Most well known as Howlin' Wolf's sideman from 1954 until Wolf's passing in 1976, Sumlin also had a brief stint in 1956 playing with Muddy Waters. Sumlin was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame in 2008 and had been nominated for four Grammy Awards.
